My name is Joe Prescher. I'm an American Artist living and working in Southwest Ohio.  I began my interest in art wanting to work in Illustration and Comics.  I studied Graphic Design and Illustration but as I grew older I moved into Fine Art and studied Painting. I eventually found a love of Modernism and Matter Painting, which fed an interest I had in Objects and Sculpture. Im currently an independent Artist working in various mediums including Mural painting, Sculpture, Illustration, Design and Photography.

I've also become interested in the last few years in Community work, teaching at several Community Arts centers with adults, teens and children, and becoming involved in my community on the "ground" and through social media to build our local culture and arts population, support our local Arts Center, and help to introduce Public Art to my town.

Prior to this I taught at the college level for 10 years in Fine Art in Studio and Academics, and in Applied Arts in the Graphics/3-D Modeling and Animation areas.

I've been fortunate enough to be able to make art independently.  As a working Artist, I enjoy being able to wrestle with a large variety of problems and challenges concerning the intersection of Art and daily life.  I'm available for contact on projects ranging from private commissions and consultation to public art.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have.
